Agent Spotlight

with Laura Rice

Highlighting our agents and all they do for the firm

What did you do before real estate and how did you get started in the business?

For 9 years before becoming a Realtor, I practiced Family Law. I have always loved homes & architecture so when I decided to consider a career change, Real Estate made sense. I have now been selling Real Estate for 9 years!

What is something your clients find comfort in that makes them turn to you for their real estate needs?

I have found that a majority of my clients turn to me because of my years of experience practicing law. My clients know that I am in the best position to negotiate and advocate for them!

What are some of your favorite local hobbies, activities or organizations that you participate in?

I enjoy being involved in local politics and providing time, talent, and financial support to some local nonprofits near and dear to my heart: Hildegard House, Center for Women and Families, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates,) Louisville Metro Animal Services, and Alley Cat Advocates. On the weekends, you're likely to find me having dinner with friends or enjoying a night by the fire pit with a glass of wine.

What do you love most about where you live and work?

I love living near Cherokee Park and enjoying all of the wildlife. I have lived in big cities and smaller ones; I believe Louisville is the perfect mid-sized city that has so many activities and events that appeal to a broad spectrum of people. I feel that people here are friendly, good neighbors, and look out for others!

What are three sources of joy in your week?

1) I start my mornings with a workout which makes me feel energized and ready to tackle each day!

2) My adorable pets that I love to snuggle up with after a long day.

3) My wonderful assistant, Taylor, who makes work fun!
